BIO
Lami Mason Jr. is an associate attorney at Skelton Moore, where he focuses on toxic tort defense, product liability, and insurance defense litigation. He represents manufacturers, insurers, contractors, and healthcare providers in complex civil matters throughout Missouri.
Before joining Skelton Moore, Lami defended healthcare providers in medical malpractice matters and advised correctional medicine physicians responding to administrative complaints before the Missouri Board of the Healing Arts. He also conducted regulatory compliance training for healthcare organizations on HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
Lami brings substantial healthcare experience to his litigation practice. Prior to law school, he spent eight years as a certified emergency department scribe and trainer at a Georgia hospital system, where he worked alongside emergency physicians documenting patient care and managing clinical workflows. This background gives him a practical understanding of medical records and healthcare operations that strengthens his approach to complex litigation.
Lami earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2022, where he served as Vice President of the Health Law Association and was active in the Black Law Students Association and the Student Intellectual Property Law Association. He holds a B.A. in English from Colgate University, where he was a student government representative and competed on the varsity basketball and rugby teams.
